The quest to keep delving deep into new voids sees the project moving in and around a diverse chasm of melancholic drone, post-rock, doom and ambient sounds.

A-Sun Amissa is led by Richard Knox and currently exists as a trio with Claire Knox (clarinet/vocals) and Luke Bhatia (guitars). The project has featured an array of members and collaborators over the years including Colin H. van Eeckhout (Amenra, CHVE), Jo Quail and Aidan Baker (Nadja) amongst many others. Recorded output has been released on Richard's own Gizeh label as well as Belgium's Consouling Sounds. Most recently A-Sun Amissa released their seventh studio album ‘Ruins Era’ in February 2024, supported by tour dates throughout the year and a performance at ArcTanGent Festival.
A new record plus UK/EU is coming in April 2025.

Aidan Baker is a Canadian musician and writer currently based in Berlin, Germany. Baker makes music that encompasses ambient/experimental, krautrock and postpunk, jazz and contemporary classical. In addition to his solo work he also performs with various group projects, most notably the drone/doom duo Nadja. He has collaborated with such artists as Tim Hecker, Andrea Belfi, Simon Scott (of Slowdive), Jussi Lehtisalo (of Circle/Pharaoh Overlord), Carla Bozulich (of Evangelista, The Geraldine Fibbers) and many others. Baker has toured and performed around the world and released numerous albums on such labels as Karlrecords, Important Records, Southern Lord, and Alien8 Recordings. Recent albums include Engenderine (Midira Records), the Trio Not Trio (Gizeh Records) releases, a series of collaborative albums with Tim Wyskida (Khanate, Blind Idiot God), Daron Beck (Pinkish Black), MJ Guider, John Colpitts (Man Forever, Oneida), and Pithovirii on Glacial Movements.

A pseudonym of Yorkshire based composer Thomas Ragsdale, the music of Sulk Rooms draws the link between euphoric electronica and smoke engulfed drones. Slow-morphing textures sequence and cascade, encapsulating intimate moments of colliding sound amongst fluttering arpeggios and transcending synth builds.

A predominant soundtrack artist included in many of Adam Curtis’ groundbreaking BBC documentaries as well as scoring BBC true crime series, Netflix features and Prada commercials, Sulk Rooms is part of Domino Publishing’s prestigious composer roster.

Atmospheric music for the head alongside the heart, Sulk Rooms' music captures spontaneous audio mirages and saturated imperfections within a crushing backdrop of low end and harmonic ferocity.
