Forest Babushka / Slavic witch casting a spell for safe home / Sparkly holographic vinyl sticker by Kamila Krol
Have you heard of a Slavic "Szeptucha"?
This name - meaning "the whisperer" - is encompassing wise women who practise a combination of prayer and chosen pagan rituals for healing and helping their communities. You’d think that’s the thing of the past but they still live and work in Poland, especially in the Eastern regions like Podlasie.
They became an inspiration for this image, featuring the young whispering witch and various folklore symbols around her.
This digital illustration is the artist's interpretation of a whisperer casting a nurturing spell
